Hey there! Here is the promised follow up to the Wine Gadgets post I did last week. As you recall, at the time of that post I was awaiting the arrival of the Winesulator wine thermos that I had ordered through Amazon.
It arrived just as we were walking out the door to spend the holiday weekend at the lake. Perfect timing! On a whim, I also ordered a set of stemless, stainless steel wine glasses. I couldn’t wait to try it all out!
The Winesulator comes with a matching-color funnel to help fill it without wasting a drop! It is flexible and actually contracts completely flat for easy storage.
We awoke to an absolutely gorgeous Saturday morning just made for a day on the boat. I began prepping for the outing at once. As advertised, the Winesulator holds a standard 750ml bottle of wine. I poured this wonderfully chilled Rose’ around 9 A.M.
Put it in my bag, with no ice, no insulation at all, and this is where it stayed on the floor of the boat until about 2 p.m. By the way, those ARE NOT my Cheetos! The kids ate them, I promise! We found our spot, dropped the anchor and prepared to read and relax for the afternoon. Actually I couldn’t wait to see if my wine was still chilled!
I am happy to report that it was perfect! The stainless steel glass was almost frosty! It was just like I had pulled the bottle right out of the fridge. It remained that chilled the entire day. I’m happy to recommend this product. It really does work, and you don’t have to worry about a corkscrew, glass bottle, ice chest, warm wine……
I’m really loving the stainless steel “glasses” as well. They just seem a bit nicer than the acrylic ones I used on the boat last year. They have a good weight, are dishwasher safe, and they won’t cloud or crack.
After discovering that this product really works, I ordered one more in the this really pretty turquoise blue. After all, if both Monica and I are out on the water, I don’t think one bottle would be enough……what if we run into friends?
Here are some fun wine gadgets that I’ve run across lately. As you…
